Forget What Your Mama Taught Ya

I've never really a heard a song of Taylor Swift's that I just loved. Moreover, I used to own a Kanye West album years ago. I really hate to admit that today. Kanye West is proving himself to be the Hip Hop representative of the Douchebag Party.
Why is interruption okay in our culture? Sure, there's backlash, but it's not like they threw Kanye West out of the building. I know that Beyonce's music video was more famous than any other in a decade at least. I know that it's been copy-catted and parodied by children, obese men, and their mamas alike. Even if Taylor Swift's music video was the most boring, trite and dull video this year, you'll only look like an asshole by running up on stage and telling the winner they don't deserve their award.
It's not some Urban myth that Kanye has a bigger ego than sliced bread. Saying "hello" or "what up" are both appropriate ways to greet someone. It wouldn't shock me if Kanye said "bless you, my child" or "kiss the bling". In fact, I would bet he's more likely to talk to a stranger wearing sunglasses, just so he could see himself in the reflection. If he were making a political statement by interrupting, like Joe Wilson of South Carolina (see below) I might think it was funny. What Kanye did was downright hurtful and disrespectful. He may not think she's a worthy rockstar but she is person. I hope his Mom taught him some manners while she was alive.
The hardest working man in show business is Kanye West's publicist. And he just quit.
